Carpet Stair Runners are making a comeback! Practical and hardwearing, they make a statement about your home from the moment you open the front door.
At John Saunders & Sons, we can make any carpet into a stair runner for you – finishing the edges with whipping, fabric or even leather. Runners can also be used in hallways and landings, usually made from the same carpet as that chosen for the stairs.
Striped carpet makes for excellent runners as they not only mask discolouration and wear, but also enable surrounding fitted carpet to be matched to one of the runner’s base colours – so that the two carpets complement each other perfectly. Stair runners are fixed with normal underlay and grippers, which means they don't need rods to hold them in place, but can be used to add an extra level of distinctiveness.
